I have been searching for many years for John Kizer, my
ggg-grandfather, b. abt. 1765, m. Priscilla.
1820 census Clark Co., German Township, Ohio pg. 017A shows John Kizer with one son 10-16, 1 daughter 10-16 and he and his wife 45+. Record of Wills,Book No.2, from May 8, 1835 to Nov 5, 1855, Probate Court, Clark Co., Springfield, OH shows that John Kizer's will was written by Testator on Jan 13, 1836 and presented for probate on May 24, 1842. It lists his wife as Priscilla, with sons Thomas and James; daughters Jane, Betsey, Polly and Peggy Ann. Witnesses are Wm. Miller, David Frantz and Jacob Miller(page 162). In the same book is the will of Daniel Kizer whose Will was written Mar 9, 1835 and presented Sep 15, 1835. It lists his mother as Presila (sp), sister Ann Stephenson, brother James and brother-in-law Wm. Buirely. Witnesses are John Weaver, Julis Smith and Jane Overpack (page 122). History of Clark Co. shows John and Prissel (sp) Kizer with a daughter Ann born June 23, 1805.

He bequeathed his Real Estate and wheat farm to his two sons, Thomas and James, after his wife deceased. He mentioned a grand-daughter, Priscilla Mathis.
