Sarah ... cannot offer an opinion about the entire book, but do have the chapter regarding the Collvers and have referenced it many times. Have also seen it often quoted in the research and writings of others. Never have I seen it questioned as being accurate or well researched, for its time. Communication was very different when the book was written, which made accurate research much more challenging ... I always try to factor that in, when checking writings of a different age. The only descrepancy that I find, and maybe it isn't one, is that he cites the John Colver/Sarah(or Mary) Winthrop marriage as fact. You're well aware of the disagreement regarding that. I have seen so much anecdotal evidence that I am inclined to believe that the marriage was, in fact, John's first and that his second marriage was to Mercy Clark. It's looking, though, that this may never be proven through documented linkages. Anyway, it's the only subject in "The Early Germans" that I've seen questioned. Good luck with your family "journey".
