Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this New Jersey Cain line?? This is what I have and I am not sure if I have the right info on this line. Peter Lynn Cain was born 1 May 1827 in New Jersey and died 7 Sep 1896 Big Prairie, Newaygo County, Michigan. Peter Lynn Cain marries Elizabeth Cole on Jul 3, 1850 in Calhoun County, Michigan. Elizabeth is the Daughter to John Cole and Anna Elizabeth Cummings. Peter and Elizabeth have the following children: John, Anna, Aaron, George, Peter Lynn Jr, Lydia, Eunice, and Isaac. o.k. this is where I am hoping that I can get some help or advise. I found a few trees that state that Peter Lynn Cain SR. father was Aaron Cain/Kain born in New Jersey. When I went to New Jersey archives I found a Aaron Cain married to a Elizabeth Mulliner. This Aaron Cain was born 16 Oct 1795 New Jersey and Elizabeth Mulliner was born 1795 but is has no place of birth for her. Aaron(1795) married Elizabeth Mulliner Oct 28 1815 in Somerset County, NJ. Now from there I can not confirm anything. I dont even know that this is really Peter's father??? I traced the Aaron Cain that is supposed to be Peter's father to Honey Bend, Montgomery County, Illinois and found him married to a Sarah Williams(married on July 23 1846 in the same town). But like I said I am not even sure that this is the true father of Peter and if he is what happened to Elizabeth and when and where? I know that Peter was born in 1827 in New Jersey but if Aaron and Elizabeth Mulliner got married in 1815 then you would think surley that they had more children than just Peter by 1827. o.k. now that I have just about confused myself with this issue(SMILE) I am hoping that someone could either steer me in the right direction or atleast confirm that Aaron is Peter's father. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely Ann |
