I am seeking information on the family of Sanford W. Cabaniss who is shown in the family bible to have died August 31, 1864, "somewhere in North Carolina" while fighting with the 31st Alabama Infantry alongside his son, Taylor Scott Cabaniss. I am GGGson of Sanford via his son William Park Cabaniss. I do not know the gravesites of either Sanford or William. Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
