I am a descendent of Joshua C.Cabbiness who was b. in Virginia May 15, 1818 and died Nov. 10, 1896 in Upshur Co. Texas. He married Sarah Mings b. in So. Carolina April 15, 1821 and d. July 22, 1897. Their first child Mary was b. in Alabama in 1844.I have found a Joshua A.Cabiness of Macon County Alabama who receoved land patent for 80 and 6/100's acres describes as the S.E.1/4 of Section 15 in Township 18 of Range 23 in the District of Lands subject to sale at Montgomery Alabana. Are these two Joshuas related? Does anyone have any information on Joshua Cabiness. Leo G. Tate
