My ggrandmother Rebecca Matilda Cabaniss had a brother, Dr. Joseph A. Cabaniss (b. 1855 in Alabama). They both lived for a while in Doddridge County, Arkansas. He died in Craighead Co., AR in 1922. I have not been able to prove their parents, though I had a couple hunches. I' ve been working on this line for 35 years. I would be most happy to exchange information.
