Seeking my ancestors from Essex, Middlesex Counties and Newport News, VA. Need to locate my grandfather's father and grandfather. Grandfather - James Winter Brooks - born July 1860 Essex County. Married Rosa Lee Taylor in January 1884. They had nine children. Great grandfather - Robert P. Brooke [note spelling] -born about 1827. Married Mildred Brizendine Dec 1852 in Essex County, VA. Great great grandfather - Robert Brooke [note spelling difference]Probably census taker's interpretation. Any information on this family would be deeply appreciated [vaadman@comcast.net |
