Hi Niko, No need to apologetic. And Welcome to the fun-house! I am far from an expert on the Brasseur Family, and (like you) wish I knew more about my branch. (sigh) C'est la vie! There is and has been a family of Brasseur living in the area of the French/Belgium border for several hundred years. I came across references to them repeated recently when I was in Paris and at the Genealogical Library. But since I didn't think they were mine (don't go back far enough), I didn't copy any information on them. They include a number of prominent people: the Pierre Brasseur who was a movie actor, for instance. Ask your local genealogical society if they can hook you up, via computer, to the data base of the Genealogical society in Paris; then search for Brasseur. You'll come up with a dozen or more references. That will keep you busy for a while. And, If you come across a Brasseur Family, probably from Bouches du Rhone, let me know.
