Am seeking information on my GGG Grandfather William Balding/Baldwin ostensibly from Northampton Co., VA, who received a land grant and moved to Buncombe Co. (now Madison Co.) in Western NC between 1800 and 1823. The Baldings of Western NC are all descended from him and his wife Elizabeth Duckett. Also any information on the Baldings/Baldwins of Northampton Co., VA? Thanks for any info you might have!
