Alan My family are from Barking and I still have a brother and sister living in the area. George Balding also features heavily in my family history with my Grandfather moving to Barking from Norfolk (Swaffham)around 1900 He left a brother in Norfolk and the name is still strong there also. In fact there is a Balding's close in Wisbech near where I now live. I am also new to this game and intend to do some further research. Regards - Nigel Balding
