Hi! I don't know if anyone can answer this or not, but my mother and I have been doing our family history for almost a year, but we've run into a snag. Her mother's maiden name was Vertefeuille, and as we traced that line, we ran into people whose last names were "Vertefeuille dit Bachand", or "Bachand dit Vertefeuille". Does anyone know the connection to the two names, or how to link them to recent (comparatively) Vertefeuilles and Bachands? Thanks, Joy Haddad
