The parents of Antoine Babin are unknown. The name of the father of Marie Mercier is also unknown. She was the daughter of Francoise Gaudet and Unknown Mercier. Francoise's second husband was Daniel LeBlanc. There was a Jacques Babin on the 1761 Census of Acadia but nothing is known about him. http://www.thecajuns.com
