I'm hoping to find another living descendant of my great-great grandparents, David and Ann Elizabeth (Keech) Henry. (DH: 1826-1892. AEKH: 1832-1875) This family did not create many descendants but I've traced one to a person who should still be living although, if she married, her name is likely different. I'm looking for Sally Austin, daughter of Gordon Harrison Austin (yes, the famous WWII general) and Mary Elizabeth Dartt. Her mother would have been 20 in 1937 so I'm unsure if Sally was born before WWII or after. Possibly during but I doubt it since her father's career appears to have kept him from home for most of the war. I do not know when her parents were married. The last geographic clue I have for the family places them in Scranton, PA. Mary Dartt Austin Edwards died in 1964 in New York but it appeared that her daughter was still in PA. If anyone has a clue, hint or suggestion, I'd love to hear it. Tracing back the Henry family (Mary Dartt's mother's maiden name) has become impossible. Perhaps Sally, where ever she is has more information on the family than I do. I'm hoping so. Thank you, Victoria Vincent |
