John Austin m. Betsy Whitford, 30 Dec 1806 in Craven County. Are Liddy Whitford mentioned in the will of John Fookes Jr. and Betsy Whitford the same person? I think they both could be a nickname for Elizabeth but I need an earlier marriage for Austin/Fookes/Mary? around 1750-1776 when John Fookes Sr. died. Any Austin Gen-nuts in Burke, Craven or Montgomery Counties interested?
