God Dag, My name is Bernhard Arnesen. I am actually the 3rd. My father was born in Bergen, Norway. He was a merchant seaman in WWII and was torpedoed by the Germans, and rescued outside of NY city. His father Bernhard Arnesen (our middle name is Anton) was a trouble shooter for the fire department in Bergen. I have family history on one side of my Arnesen family going back to about 1050. I am unaware of any direct (Arnesen) ancestors who immigrated to the US (except for my father) Tusen Takk, Bernie ("sma Benne")
