I’m trying to identify the parents of Stephen Adams, who was born in 1746 in Hamilton, Essex County, Massachusetts and died 19 Oct. 1819 in Meredith, Strafford County (now Belknap County), New Hampshire. He was married on 17 July 1785 at Moultonborough (Moultonboro), Strafford County (now Carroll County), New Hampshire, to Jane Bond. He is listed in the 1790 census of Moultonborough and witnessed the will of William Whipple of Moultonborough in 1796. Was Stephen a son of William Adams, who was born in 1722 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts and died 17 Dec. 1797 at Hamilton, Essex County, Massachusetts? William married Mary. What was her maiden name? The families of William and his brother John were living in Moultonborough in 1771.
