Jerline Caudill Parks, 78, Castlewood, VA, died Wednesday,
September 17, 2008 at her home.
She was born in Wilder, VA, daughter of the late Timothy
and Rebecca Jessee Caudill. She graduated from Temple Hill
High School in 1948. She was the first secretary at
Castlewood High School and was a payroll clerk for
Clinchfield Coal Company. She was a member of Maple Grove
Community Church, Lebanon, VA. She was preceded in death
by one daughter, Vanessa Parks; one son, Kevin Parks; one
sister, Norma Lee Cox; and one brother, Felix Caudill.
She is survived by her husband, Orland Parks; one
daughter, Rhonda Parks White and husband, Micheal of
Abingdon, VA; three sisters, Terry Jessee and husband,
Larry of Castlewood, VA, Clara Cross Turley of Abingdon,
VA, and Brenda Burns of Orange, VA; several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral Services for Jerline Caudill Parks were conducted
at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008, in the Castlewood
Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, VA, with Rev. Bill Snead
and Pastor Jonah Shoop officiating.
Committal Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday,
September 19, 2008 in Temple Hill Memorial Park,
Castlewood, VA. Family and friends met at the funeral home
to go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m.
Pallbearers: Travis Jessee, Billy Cross, Mark Jessee,
Scott Jessee, Denny Jessee, and David Hale. Honorary
Pallbearers: Jimmy Cox, Lester Watson, Crick Davis, Larry
Watson, and Wesley Caudill.
The family received friends Thursday, September 18, 2008
in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, VA. Online
