Hi Chris.

Yes, I'd love to swop notes. My Cains were mainly sail makers and came from Gosport and Portsmouth.

I think I contacted Donna through Genes Reunited over the week-end. Is she related to you?

There is a branch of sail makers called Cains and Co and they were in Somers Road Portsmouth in the early 1900'2 for about 6 years.

I'm doing a bit of digging on that side now.

I have 358 Cains in my tree now, so can tell you a lot.
