Any Caines from the Isle of Man should be readily distinguishable by their Y-DNA. Most Cains/Caines etc in the Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com are of Irish origin. Quite a number even claimed Manx origins as a wway to avoid racial & religious bias in England & the southern States of the USA. Y-DNA will sort out the Manx from the Irish Cain(e)s.

The Cain DNA project has a genuine Manxman amongst their members, actually resident on Man, with Y-DNA haplogroup R1, the same haplogroup as the old Norse Viking Kings of Dublin and Man.
