I am related to a Cain family from KY who later lived in Indiana. Joining the Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com provided the breakthrough that I needed.
Good luck with the paper trail. DNA doesn't replace the need to follow the paper trail. But the paper trail on its own is also incomplete without DNA.
