Last time I checked the Eircom phone directory there was only one Caine left in Co Mayo. The others have adopted Keane. There are several Cain, Caine, Kean & Keane folks in the Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com who claim Co Mayo ancestry. This is a large clan, previously undiscovered, which may rival the better kbown Kanes of Ulster in size. A simple cheekswab is likely to provide ypou with numerous DNA matches with origins in the same part of Co Mayo as your family.
