Looking for my husbands ancestors. He's never had his family traced. Would love to surprise him with his family history. His father was James Jefferson Caine b. Oct. 5, 1905, Cumblin, Kentucky. James m. Ruth Pennycuff, Oct. 17, 1931 Indiana. Ruth was b. Oct 9, 1913. James' father was Sebe Caine and mother was Elzada Ballard? Family folklore says that Sebe was 1/2 indian and his father was Jake or Jacob Caine. Jake may have been married to a woman named Sarah or had a sister named Sarah. Ruth's parents were Jacob William Penneycuff and Margaret Wheat.
James & Ruth had the following children:
James Edward - died at age 1, 1932
William Terrell - died at age 2, 1935
Welbie Lee
Earnest Raymond
Loretta Mae
Richard Herschel
Thomas Jefferson
Jacob Crawford
