I'm curious if there might be Cains linked to County Tyrone, Ireland? My Grandson's Cain line, not traced to the immigrant, has other Irish folks Stewart Co., TN that are linked to this location. All I know about the Cains I'm researching is:

John Michael Cain was identified for me during a phone conversation between Mark Thomas Cain and John Thomas Cain on 24 Sep 2006. According to the 1910 federal census for Shelby County, Tennessee, John Michael was born 1887 in Tennessee, his father (name currently unknown for sure) shown as born in Ireland. Little is known presently about John Michael except a note that he lived in Memphis. The census reveals that he was literate and working as a clerk for the railroad. John Michael married Lillie Pounders on 26 Dec 1908 in Shelby County, TN. Lillie, born Jan 1890, was a Cherokee as per grandson John Thomas Cain. She is shown on the 1900 Shelby County federal census as the daughter of Thomas Pounders born May 1859 and wife L. Fluter [? Census difficult to read ] born Sep 1870) along with sister Jessie Pounders b. Jul 1894. All the Pounders folks listed were shown as being born in DeSoto County, Mississippi. The 1880 Davidson County, TN census lists a John M. Cain b. 1865 Ireland. More research needed.
