Cain/O'Cain Family of Fauquier County Virginia

I am searching for the parents of Thornton O'Cain, b. abt. 1791, Virginia, d. 1853, Fauquier County, Virginia. All that is known about his parents is that presumably his mother was Frances O'Cain/Cain.

It was not unusual for parents to give their children a given name that had been a family surname; thus, Thornton may be an indication of a connection to the prodigious Thornton Family of Virginia.

Caldwell, b. 1790 and John O'Cain/Cain, b. 1795 who married Arty Mariah Thompson in Fauquier County, Virginia, may have been Thornton's siblings.

Here's the additional information I have about this family:

Thornton O'Cain served as a Private in Reno's 36th Regiment in the War of 1812. Source: Military Records, Roll Box 155, Roll 602.

1820 Census, As Thornton Kain, 1M<10, 1M 20-40, 4 F<10, 1F 20-40

1830 Census, As Thornton Ocorn, 1M<10, 2M 5-10, 1M 10-15, 1M 50-60, 1F<5, 2F5-10, 1F10-15, 2F15-20, 1F40-50 (Note: Four sons and 6 daughters)

In the 1840 Census for Leeds District, Fauquier County, VA, page 69 of 104, the following family is found:

Thornton O'Cain, 1 male, 10-15 (James), 1 male, 15-20 (Gustavus), 1 male, 50-60 (Thornton), 1 female under 5 (Ann Eliza), 1 female, 10-15 (Martha), 1-female, 15-20 (Mary), 1 female, 40-50 (Lydia).

Note: Icea and Emily were married prior to the 1840 census, with families of their own. John most likely had left his father's home by that time, as well.

In the Fauquier County, VA Death Register, 1853-1896 by Pat Duncan:

“Cane, Thornton O., white male d. 10 Oct 1853 of typhoid fever at 62 y., parents: Frances Cane, spouse, Lydia Cane, Informant – not given.”

Spouse is Lydia UNKNOWN, b. abt. 1794, Virginia, died 30 Dec 1859, Fauquier County, VA.

In the Fauquier County, VA Death Register, 1853-1896 by Pat Duncan:

“Cane, Lydia O., white female, d. 30 Dec 1859 of cancer at 65 y., widow, informant, Mrs. (Emily) Williams, dau.”

I descend from Emily O'Cain, one of his daughters, that married Charles Henry Williams in Fauquier County, Virginia. A John H. Williams married Emily's sister, Ann Eliza O'Cain, who migrated to Loudoun County, Virginia.

Any additional information will be greatly appreciated!
