The reference to Alex Cain (1857-1935)in Avoca may be my Great Uncle!! He and his wife Lorena lived in Pottawattamie, Mills and Montgomery Counties through his life. He did raise cattle as I recall. In fact, I am trying to find where his oldest son disappeared to and where he might be buried. His name was Claude Cain (1894). If you have more info, yea or nay, would love to hear from you.
