There have been several postings regarding people who appear to be siblings of my great great great grandparents.
My great great great grandfather was George Cain. He was
born January 16, 1806 in Ohio. He died March 28, 1904 in LaPorte County. He is buried in Salem Cemetery, near LaPorte
He married Cynthia Sommers. She was born in New York on April 17, 1825. She died on November 5, 1890. She is buried in Salem Cemetery.
George and Cynthia were married in January, 1847 in Richland County, Ohio.
George and Cythina's childred were Catherine, William F., Jane Delbine (sp?) and Sherman.
George's death certificate says his fathers name was "Jos. Cain."
My ancesters moved to LaPorte County sometime between 1860 and 1870.
It looks like George Cain was the brother of John Cain and Daniel Cain, which have been mentioned in earlier posts. It also appears that Cythia Sommers was the sister of Angeline Sommers Cain, the wife of Daniel Cain.
If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it.
