New information on John Cain & Elizabeth Bryam

There seemed to be some controversy as to whether the daughter, Martha E. born June 1869 in Edgar Co. IL was the same person as Emaline E. born about 1869/1870 in Edgar Co. Then we had Elizabeth Cain who could not be accounted for on any US Census.

That had been driving me crazy so I started playing around with names and maybe I've come up with something. Remember, Elizabeth Cain married Arthur Lunan 29 Sept. 1895 in Edgar Co.
I found Arthur Lunan on the 1900 US Census, Indianapolis, Marion County, State of Indiana.
It gave his birth year as Oct 1871 but on his Draft Registration it was given as 2 Oct. 1873.

Listed on the 1900 census was his wife EMMA (Emaline ?) born June 1869 (same as our Martha E. and the correct age for Emaline as well.)

Arthur & Emma had been married 10 years, according to what was recorded. Possibly because there was a daughter listed as being 9 years old. The next child was a daughter 2 years old.
Since Elizabeth had been married previousy to a Mr. Noble, perhaps daughter Mary, age 9, was from that marriage.

I also found the family on the 1920 Census, same town and county. Arthur B. was recorded as 46 years old, EMMA E., age 50.

I would say that ELIZABETH CAIN who married Arthur & EMMA E CAIN NUNAN are one and the same. Do you agree?

Alice Cain Nance
