James A. Cabiness b. 11 Mar 1818 d. 16 Mar 1877 and Martha (Calhoun) Cabiness b. 1 Mar 1818 GA. 1860 census for Huntsville, Walker Co. TX has James and Martha age 41 with the following children:
Ann E Cabiness bca. 1844 AL
Sam C Cabiness b.ca. 1849 TX
Robert H Cabiness b.ca. 1851 TX
Lucy A. Cabiness b.ca. 1853 TX
Benjamin F Cabiness bca. 1855 TX
Frederick M Cabiness b.ca. 1857 TX
Mollie Mary Cabiness b. July 1859 TX
I have information to exchange on Mollie Mary Cabiness b. 1859 TX who married twice. She married 1st in 1880 Robert H. Alston JR b. 1859. Mollie's father James A. Cabiness died 16 Mar 1877 but her mother was alive another 11 yrs and would have been alive for her wedding. Robert H. Alston Jr was the son of Robert H Alston Sr b 1836 Marshall Co MS, who was the son of Philip Henry Alston and his wife Eliza M. Alston who married 1828 Telfair Co. GA. Robert H. Alston Sr died (date unknown) but he is buried in Hutchings-Alston-Haden Cem, Eastham Farm, Houston Co. TX
Mollie Mary (Cabiness) Alston had five children, but four were deceased by the 1900 census. Her one surviving child was a girl named Willie Augusta Alston born 13 Aug 1887 Huntsville, Walker Co TX. Willie Augusta Alston married in 1907 Lonnie Dee Warren b. 26 Nov 1881, the son of Uriah George 'Duncan' Warren (born Heard Co. GA) and his wife Jackebed Pace. Lonnie and Willie Augusta (Alston) Warren went to live in Rusk Co. TX. Mollie Mary Alston, her mother, made her daughters wedding dress. Mollie Mary Alston married her first husband's cousin. She married 2nd in 1890 in Rusk Co TX William H. Alston, the son of Willis W Alston. 2nd marriage must not have worked out as she went to live in Rusk Co. TX with her daughter and son-in-law. Willie Augusta (Alston) Warren and Lonnie Dee Warren had four children before Willie Augusta contracted TB and died 2 June 1920. Her mother Mollie Mary (Cabiness) Alston helped her while she was sick and helped with the children, but became ill later with TB herself. Mollie Mary Cabiness Alston died in 1937 and is buried in Old City Cemetery, Rusk Co. TX
