W. W. "Bill" Bruce, Jr.
RINGGOLD, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of W. W. "Bill" Bruce, Jr., will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Bill Kincaid. Internment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009, at the funeral home.
Bill was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on December 1, 1933, to Arabelle Gray and Williamson W. Bruce, Sr. He went to be with his Lord on September 11, 2009. He was a graduate of Fair Park in 1953. Bill was a resident of Ringgold, Louisiana, where he was a member of First Baptist Church of Ringgold. He was a member of American Legion Post 14 and Forty & Eight.
Left to cherish Bill's memories are his wife, Nell Bruce; son, Charles Leonard Bruce and wife, Karen; daughter, Sharon Bivins; grandchildren, Stacy Guerrero, Kevin Bruce, and Kristin Bruce; great grandchildren, Hannah and Taylor Guerrero; and sister, Jane Ann Smith.
Pallbearers will be J. T. Floyd, John Bivins, Marty Smith, Jay Prudhomme, Joe Cascio, Troy Grafton, and Charles Citrano. Honorary pallbearer is Billy Oliver.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Agape Hospice and its nurses Cathy, Arnethia, Brenda, and Joann, as well as Chaplin Buster Bailey. Rose-Neath Funeral Homes
