Am trying to help Kim Allan who posted message # 5073 determine who her ancestor Thomas James BRUCE from Tennessee belongs to. I couldn't find a census with her Thomas James BRUCE, only one with a Amanda BRUCE, possibly a daughter of his.
She indicated their could be a family tie to surname BEARD but am wondering if this could be another spelling for surname BAIRD from Tennessee since her family is in Colorado.
I didn't hear anything back from her so don't know which BRUCE line she belongs to in Tennessee. It could possibly be her family has BRUCE-BAIRD ties in Tennesee and might fit in somewhere with the other BRUCE-BAIRD families in Tennessee.
