The only connection between the James you found in 1900 census and Jesse C. Brooks is via census records. In 1880 James A. Brooks was mis-listed as Joseph A. Brooks in Monroe county, Ga. James A Brooks 30 Sarah C. 26 Thomas J 5 Annie E 4 Leona G 3 Babe 5/12 I did not find James in 1870 census, but his father Jesse C. Brooks is in Spalding county age 49. Jesse is in Spalding in 1860 and Meriwether county in 1850. Living next door to Jesse in 1850 is Abram Brooks, age 55 from NC Jesse names a son Abram, so this connect Jesse to Abram. Jaese names a daughter Lenora and so does James Brooks. Jesse names a son James A. L. Brooks born 1849. So this could be your James A L Brooks. That's about all I have that might connect your James to Jesse to Abram Brooks. Notify Administrator about this message?
