William Brooks of Craven Co., NC (Died 1790)

I am seeking info on William Brooks, Sr. of Craven Co., NC. He is alleged to be the brother of Joseph Brooks, Sr. of Craven Co., NC and James Brooks, Sr. of Pitt Co., NC. He was born ca. 1740. His will was written on May 5, 1790 and was proved at the June 1790 term of the Craven Co., NC court. There is a William Brooks listed in the 1790 census for Craven Co., NC, but this can NOT be him since he was dead by June and the census was not taken until August of that year. The William Brooks listed in the census must by deductive reasoning be the deceased William Brooks, Sr.'s son, who was ALSO named William. According to the will, William Brooks, Sr.'s wife was still living at that time, but not named. His children were listed as: William, Joseph and Rece (a daughter). His sons, William and Joseph were also listed as his excecutors. Witnesses to the will were: William Brooks (another one- probably his nephew, son of his brother, Joseph), Jesse Hou????, and Joseph Brooks (almost certainly, his brother, Joseph Brooks, Sr.). I would be grateful to anyone who could give me additional info on William Brooks Sr., his wife, children and grandchildren. Thanks, Milton
