This definitely indicates relationship between James & William Corbin (Curbon) and the Brooks of Pitt Co, NC. Esther Corben shows up later in 1790 Pitt Co, NC census (0-1-2-0-0). Both Corbins died in the Revolution. Esther had one son in 1790, but don't know who he was, yet.
Anyone come across these guys before?
