I have a bill drawn from a judge Francis Wyatt Smith Concerning a dispute in the courts circa 1793 in regards to a Thomas Royston and Clara, his wife, and Sally Broocke (sic) vs. James Jones Esqaur. Shrf of Essex County, VA.
Other Brookes mentioned in the suit were: Eliza Broocke (sic) wife of Philip Broocke deceased. Children were Patty Pollard Broocke, Polly Carter Broocke, Jesse Broockes, Robert Broockes, Dickey Broockes and Hannah Parsons Broocke.--Virginia Colonial Abstracts--Vol 2 page 223, Beverly Fleet.
Does anyone know who these people were, and where this Thomas Royston was from?
