Hello Charles. I just saw your message from way back in 2002 concerning early Brasseurs. I agree that the Robert listed in the IGI of France is not the one who arrived in Virginia in 1635.

I have a Robert Brasseur born in 1590 in Carpentras, France, who married Elizabeth Fowke and died in 1665. He had a son named Benoit in France in 1610. Benoit died in Virginia in 1663. He had a daughter named Susanna Marie who was born in Isle of Wight Va., or Calvert Co., MD, in 1655. She died in 1692 in Anne Arundel Co., MD.

Is this the same line which you were discussing in the forum back in 2002?
