I'm sorry, but the Allemond (Alleman) Brasseur connection to Robert Brasseur of Va. and Md. does not hold up to scrutiny. It was ably debunked in Brashear and McCoy's A Brashear(s) Family History (1998). The Carpentras family, of whom Allemond was a representative, was Catholic, not Protestant, and a genealogy of the family compiled in 1667, only two years after the death of Robert, did not mention him or his descendants.
