Hi Philip
Unfortunately the medal went to another side of the family after SJB died so we do not know what it looked like. But like you say it sounds as if it was a campaign medal. However, one of the people we are looking at was presented his medal by the King according to his military records. And we don't think that would happen for a campaign medal so we wanted to know what the ship got up to and find out what the crews part in the Boxer rebelion was. Anything you know would be great.
