Can someone please help with this dead end?? My gggrandfather
came here from Canada but I don't know which province. I have only been able to get info here in RI. His first name on birth certs. is spelled 3 different ways - Medo, Meador and Medard. On his death cert. it is written as Medard. Born in Canada in 1850, father's name also Meador. He died in 1912. Married to MaryJane Farrell. Only 2 children that I am sure of but there may have been 3 more. Mathilde was born 1874 and Frederick in 1882. Even though Mathilde was known to have kept everything I cannot find what happened to any papers or photos. If anyone knows of this man please let me know..I don't speak French so going to any sites that are not in english are useless to me.
