MADAWASKA LAKE and CARIBOU - Janet K. Bouchard, 66, died unexpectedly May 14, 2009, at her Madawaska Lake residence. She was born Dec. 7, 1942, in Caribou, daughter of the late Harold and J. Claudine (Haley) Anderson. Mrs. Bouchard was a 1960 graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She was employed as a victim witness advocate for the Caribou District Attorney's office for many years. Janet was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She loved the lake and especially enjoyed kayaking with her sister, Sylvia. She was a member of Madawaska Lake Campers Association, where she served as a director for many years. Janet married Dale Bouchard, April 28, 1962. Surviving in addition to her husband of Madawaska Lake, are her three sons, Jeffery Bouchard and his wife, Bonnie, of Caribou and their children, Travis and Molly, Jason Bouchard and his wife, Jill, of Enfield and their children, Rebecca and Jacob, and Jon Bouchard of Holden and his children, Jonathan, Cole and Rilee; two sisters, Claudia Sealander of Caribou and Sylvia Plourde of Madawaska Lake; several nieces and nephews. Janet will be fondly remembered by a special uncle and aunt, Atwood "Bud" and Joan Anderson of Clearwater, Fla., and a special aunt, Rita Haley; as well as many special friends including, Sandra May of El Dorado, Calif. Mrs. Bouchard was predeceased by a sister, Judy Rideout. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
