Genevieve Lavoie was born and baptized on 10 July 1844 in St-Patrice, Riviere-du-Loup, the daughter of Isaac Lavoie and Mathilde Bouchard. She married Anthyme Bouchard, son of Pierre Bouchard and Monique Lebourdais, on 27 May 1867 in St-Patrice, Riviere-du-Loup.
Marie-Mathilde Bouchard was born and baptized on 4 October 1811 in St-Andre, Kamouraska, the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Bouchard and Marie-Catherine (Charlotte) Miville-dit-Deschenes. Her godparents were Jean-Roch Lavoie and Marie-Madeleine Dube. Jean-Baptiste is shown in various documents as Jean, Jean-Baptiste or Jean-Francois. Catherine is shown in various documents as Marie-Catherine, Marie-Charlotte, Catherine or Charlottee. Mathilde married Isaac Lavoie, son of Jean-Roch Lavoie and Louise-Veronique Boucher, on 18 February 1828 in St-Patrice, Riviere-du-Loup.
Jean-Baptiste Bouchard, son of Jean Bouchard and Marie-Genevieve Pelletier and the widower of Marie-Charlotte Levesque, married Marie-Catherine Miville-dit-Deschenes, daughter of Alexis Miville-dit-Deschenes and Marie-Charlotte Leclerc-dit-Francoeur, on 28 September 1807 in Notre-Dame-de-Liesse, Riviere-Ouelle, Kamouraska. His first marriage to Charlotte Levesque probably causes the misidentification of Mathilde’s mother as Charlotte Miville rather than Catherine Miville.
