early Blewett / Bluett / Bloet in new DNB (2005)

Good to see the early family finally getting a mention in the new DNB (with the Bloet spelling to be sure) and not just Robert Bishop of Lincoln!

And has anyone noticed that the Bishop of Bayeux has been downgraded from a "brother" to a "kinsman" ? Quite right, there was never any evidence for their fraternity, unless anyone out there has information otherwise?

David crouch gives a good general overview of the early family in his article.

If you've not seen the new DNB you need volume 6 and look under Bloet (pp234-237).

(This posting also in the Blewett forum)
