Obituary for Alex Blewett Jr. brother of Wesley E. Blewett

"Great Falls attorney Alex Blewett Jr. died of natural causes June 14 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. He was 90.

Mr. Blewett was chairman of the Montana Constitutional Revision Commission, the body that set up the 1972 convention that rewrote Montana’s constitution. He also served as chairman of the Montana Highway Commission and served two terms in the House of Representatives. He was elected majority leader in his second term.

In 1964 he was the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate. He lost the race to Democrat Mike Mansfield."

Sorry I'm new to geneology websites, so I don't know all the short forms and lingo, etc.

My father (Charles William Blewett was born in Feb. 1944, Eugene Oregon) to father Wesley Blewett (b. 1906 d. 1998) and mother Christina Blewett (also deceased). Wesley's father was Alexander Blewett Sr. and his mother was Ethel Brown Blewett, both of Butte Montana. Wesley's siblings were Alexander Jr. and Adele Blewett (both deceased).

My father Charles William had one sister, two brothers and (I believe two half siblings). As far as I know, all his siblings are still alive.

Charles had 2 children from first marriage (still alive) and 2 children from 2nd marriage still alive. He died Nov 4th, 2004 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

If you would like more information about this line, contact me @ beckah23_nospam_@yahoo.com (take the _nospam_ out)

Thanks
Rebeckah Best (nee Blewett)
