I believe the story is that Henry travelled to Colorado from Cornwall England in 1848 where he mined for silver, next travelling to Nevada and ultimately ending up in Montana. There are some church records in Carson City, NV which reference a Blewett who might have been baptized or married there. I have a vague recollection of this however, since my trip there was in 1985.

My great grandmother provided some information about the Blewetts as far back as Henry which is where I came up with the date for his arrival in the U.S.

It sounds like your grandfather might be a great source of information.
