Hello Charles:
I just found your posting looking for my Elijah Rushing and found them connected with the Brashears of Bedford Co, TN and Decatur Co, TN, but saw nothing in your postings that mentions a Rushing connection.

My Rushing is a daughter of Elijah but there are two Elijahs and both are in Bedford and Decatur and a Elijah Jr b 1791 who I suspect is a brother of my Lydia b 1797.

One Elijah married a Evelyn Burrows and not my family line.

There are some Bedford Co, TN lawsuits involving Elijah
John Eakin sued Elijah Rushing in 1838 Bedford Co, TN wins. Do you know what this is about and his wife. The same year Aaron Williams sues Oakes on a promissory note to Elijah Rushing(I see your Robert Oakes) as related to Mary Elizabeth Beshares.

Samuel Eakins or Escue dec's estate vs Elijah Rushing 1838

Elizabeth Rushing marries Isaac Elisa Brashers b 1826-1887 s/o Walter Brashers & Elizabeth Roberts burried Morgan Cemetery Decatur Co, TN, Elizabeth is d/o Burrell Rushing b1798 d 1867.

Elijah Rushing (not sure which one) has two sons James Perry Rushing marry Mary Jane Brashears and brother William R marry 1835 Elizabeth Brashears in Lawrence Co, AL which appears two brother marrying sisters. Also in same county Elias Woodall marries Frances Brashears and migrate to Navarro Co, TX.

I am trying to separate or identify these Elijah's with a wife and children. I hope you have some information to share. Thanks for your time.

Dennis Billings
