Hi Linda,
I have Family Tree Maker, version 8. If yours is a later version, the chances are that my program will NOT read your files. I've come across this before; the companies do not make their programs both up and downward compatible. Isn't that nice of them. :-(
So, it might be best if you could print out a hard copy and mail it to me. Address below.
Or, Let your FTM make a "Report" in ASCII or RTF, and send that on the net. Then my word processor can pick that up, and I could print it out. It seems I always want a hard copy to work from, so I can page forward and backward in the file.
Maybe you had heard of my dumb mistake about a month,six weeks ago. In downloading a new version of my e-mail program, I managed to wipe out my e-mail files, pictures that had come in attachments, and my e-mail address book for the last year. So I had "Linda" but not your surname, not your e-address, not your snail address. That's true for about another hundred people that I've been corresponding with on the family.
Thanks for the offer of the Elijah data. I will put it in my additions/corrections file. I've gotten quite a few of those for vol 2; so I may want some day to print a revised version of the book.
