Does anyone have any information on Arthur Beshears, with wife Margaret, on Warrior Creek, in Old 96 District, Spartanburg Co, SC?
I suspect he is Otho Brashears, whose given name permuted from Otho to Othar to Arthur; and his surname changed from Brashears to Beshears, a fairly regular permutation in the family.
Otho was a s/o Samuel Brashear, Sr and Ann Jones, of Prince George's Co, MD. He migrated with brothers, Robert C. and Basil Brashears, to the Granville District, NC, where he appears in several land records, but owned no land of his own. After a few suits in debtors' court, Otho/Othar disappeared from NC records. I'd like to find him.
Anyone know anything about him?
