My 4G-grandfather Charles Beale supposedly died in Alleghany County, Virginia on 10 Jul 1842. Can anyone tell me where he is buried? Is his grave marked by a tombstone?
There is an inventory and a sale bill related to Charles Beale's estate in the Alleghany court records dated 29 Oct 1842 and 5 Nov 1842, respectively. I would be interested in learning of any other specific documentation to back up his date of death, such as a court record or newspaper obituary.
Two of his married daughters were Harriet, wife of Andrew Fudge, and Catherine, wife of William Skeen (Skeene). Both women are buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery near Covington, Virginia.
