I am seeking information regarding the location of the farm of William Beale & Mary Jenkin Beale, which the only information states; Located three miles East of Downingtown, Pennsylvania in West Whiteland Township, Chester County Pennsylvania in the Great Valley ?? Land was purchased from a Mr. John Spruce.
There is an area of Chester County, known as Great Valley, which is just North of Malvern, PA. in East Whiteland Township, which is more like 8-10 miles East of Downingtown, PA. in the area of (Rt. 202 bypass & Rt. 29).
Both William Beale b. 14 Aug. 1709 d. 27 Nov. 1800 & Mary Jenkin (Perkins) b. 09 April 1715 d. 25 Aug. 1771 were from Wiltshire, England. Who emigrated to America in year 1728 and at their death, they both were buried on their farm they owned in this Great Valley located East of Downingtown, Pa.
William also purchased a large track of land in the Tuscorora Valley area in Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
On 21 March 1750, William & Mary Beale and their children received membership into the Quaker Religion at the Uwchlan Quaker Meeting House in Uwchlan Township, Chester County Pennsylvania at ( Rt. 113 & Dowlin Forge Rd.)
Aftrer Mary Jenkin Beale died, William re-married to a Rachel Lewis who was also married to ???? Lewis.
William & Mary had the following 7 children;
(1) Thomas Beale b. 06 Aug. 1737 (2) William b. 24 Dec. 1738 (3) John Beale b. 12 Dec. 1740 d. 25 Jan. 1777 (4) Susannah b. 16 Dec. 1742 (5) David b. 20 June 1745 (6) Joshua b. 19 Nov. 1749 d. 1787 (7) Edith b. 13 June 1752 .
