Looking to find information about Elizabeth Beale who married John Shawl, or Schall Jr., about 1850. She was born July 1, 1825 in Venango County PA and died Feburary 9, 1901 in Venango. I believe her mother was Susan Beale, who is on the 1850 Venango County census with children John, Reuben, Luther, Jacob, Peter, Betsy, Catherine, and Christene. I think her husband was Jacob Beale, as he is shown on the 1840 Venango census living in Scrubgrass. I have posted a picture of Elizabeth on the Venango Rootsweb web site, although it may actually be her mother. The writing on the back says it is my grandfather's greatgrandmother, which would make it Elizabeth's mother. But it doesn't seem that old, as that would place the photo before 1860. Anyone out there descend from any of these Beales or know anything about them?
