The hanging of George Polk Beale

George Polk Beale was hung for the murder of Daniel Delaney by the state of Oregon in 1865. George, who came to Oregon in 1843 from Ray Co., MO, was born 1824 in Botetourt Co., VA, son of Charles William Beale and Anna Kyle. The story of the murder and hanging, trial transcripts, newspaper articles etc., is very interesting and is available to all.
